Tianyi Square, Ningbo, China Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed January 20, 2016 Visited January 2016 It's actually the usual square in the city. But because it's always been discussed in the TripAdvisor, somewhat it became famous. It is a big open space and the ideal place to enjoy it with children. Even in winter time, the Tianyi Square still enjoyable. Many food available nearby and it's also very close to the river where you can go to afterward.

Chocolate Happy Land, Shanghai, China Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed January 17, 2016 Visited January 2016 I don't know why not that many people visited this attraction and some food stall even closed when I went here. I think this place is very good because your children will have the experience of making chocolate, pizza, biscuits, cotton candy, etc. by themselves. And they get to eat what they made, would make the experience even more interesting.
It's free for children under 1 meter of height, and 50% off for children between 1 to 1.40 meter. And I can assure you that it's worth it. One thing though, that all instruction and language spoken is Chinese, so you need to go here with local friend or otherwise it would very hard for you to communicate. If You Want to Find Somebody Who Speak English in this Mall You Have to go to Information Booth1/4/2016 Super Brand Mall, Shanghai, China Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed January 17, 2016 Visited January 2016 Super Brand Mall is the medium size mall. I went to this mall several time because it is so close to the hotel where I stayed (Oriental Riverside Hotel). You can find almost anything you'd find in a mall. From food, fashion, even toys if you travel with kids like I did.
But not like other mall, I cannot find the brochures and information about the mall. And since almost nobody can speak English, I always had to go to the information booth on the 1st floor, where you can find (maybe the only person) who speaks English. Shanghai History Museum, China Overall Rating: EXCELLENT Reviewed January 13, 2016 Visited December 2015 I guess there are 2 history museums in Shanghai. I'm writing this for the one in the ground level of Oriental Pearl Tower. So if you go there, don't miss this museum, since this is the one of the best museum in China and very good education for children.
You need the camera with low light capability to captured your moment since all area in inside is dark, and has low lighting environment. Huangpu River, Shanghai, China Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed January 13, 2016 Visited January 2016 Like other rivers in China, Huangpu River is used for transportation even the big load like sands and coals. So you see frequently not just the sexy yacht passed by but also the tankers. But hay... you are in China, so enjoy the river with sky scrapers on every side of it. And don't forget to imagine that once upon a time these tall building weren't there... It'd take you back in time since the river stays the same.
Shanghai Circus World, Shanghai, China Overall Rating: AVERAGE Reviewed January 13, 2016 Visited December 2015 As stated many times in TripAdvisor, this attraction is a must see while you're in Shanghai, especially if you bring your children. The circus attraction, however actually just ordinary circus. Because in my mind I would see more Chinese acrobatic show, but instead the circus is dominated with animal show. Indonesia (my country) can give twice as many animal show then the one they performed. But none the less, my children loved it, and it all that matters.
One thing though, the area near the circus smells like toilet. I meant it! I don't know where the smells came from. May be from the circus animals they have or from the sewer nearby. Oh one more thing... If you want to record the show, don't use your handy cam camera, because the security will asked you to stop. But if you recorded it using your cell phone, they didn't mind. I don't know the difference though, because you can still get (and sometimes) even better resolution video when using your cell phone camera on the dark environment :) The Bund (Wai Tan), Shanghai, China Overall Rating: EXELLENT Reviewed January 13, 2016 Visited January 2016 The Huangpu River on the winter is still good to see and the place to enjoy it is from Wai Tan. Don't forget to bring your high quality camera to capture lights from cross the river to get good shots. And if you go here by winter, dress warm :)
Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu), Shanghai, China Overall Rating: EXCELLENT Reviewed January 13, 2016 Visited December 2015 First of all, it is a tower. So you come here to enjoy the Shanghai and the Huangpu River from above. If you are staying in the Oriental Riverside Hotel like I did, you'll get 2 free tickets entrance for the tower. I suggest you go there early in the morning to avoid the Que to get in to the elevator. And less people means less crowded at the window view (both on the main viewing floor and the glass see-trough floor).
Don't forget to take as many pictures and also selfie pictures especially on the glass see-through floor, because when you look once again from your laptop/TV the feeling that you were there came back to you. On the ground level of the tower was the Shanghai History Museum with great collections of diorama and miniatures or even in the real size. You need to bring your night capability camera to capture every moment in this museum. Just don't miss this museum if you come here, especially for school children because this is one of the good museums I ever visited. Trans Studio Bandung, Indonesia Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed September 21, 2015 Visited July 2015 I gave the public seminar for over 1 thousands participants in their amphitheater. It was a big success. But still somethings I need to get the management attention. The big screen behind me as the seminar goes, had some spot broken and I think it was too high in contrast. And one more thing, the echo of the sound system is too high which make the far behind audience could not hear to what people were saying on the stage. I hope they'll improve.
But when you ask about the games and the rides they have, I could give the two-thumbs-up. It's everything you want for the indoor amusement park. Just go to their website and you'll find everything you want to know about this indoor theme park. |
