Quite sometimes ago, like more than 10 years ago, I used to eat here with my wife before we got married. It was a much recommended restaurant especially if you're looking for steak. The steak was awesome especially with mushroom sauce, my favorite.
But when I visited them again last August, together with my wife and my two children. I didn't get what I expected. The atmosphere is still the same, still hard to get the parking space in front of the restaurant (as usual)... but the furniture is really need to be upgraded.
I had my usual: Medium rare sirloin with mushroom sauce, same as my son who like his stake like I do. But my wife choose medium sirloin instead with mushroom sauce as well. To my surprise, I think the meat is not fresh and may be already too long in the freezer. My guess is because the price of beef sky-rocketing in Indonesia this last several of months, so maybe they bought it in big party and store in the freezer. May be I was wrong, but at least that what I was thinking.
Sadly the day after, all four of us had problem with our gastrointestinal health, like diarrhea. Both my children and I had to stay home and not attended school and work for one and two days. My wife only had mild problem and still be able to go to work. If we see at the different way we had our steak prepared, In my humble opinion is because I had my steak medium rare while my wife had hers medium.
So until the situation of the beef price in Indonesia stable again, if you want to eat here and having steak. Order your steak well done instead!
