This is the second time I stayed in this hotel, and this time I had a bad luck. I stayed in the room 1612. The room was good, spacious, clean, and you can feel its luxury from the moment you enter the room. The first thing I wanted to do was taking a nice shower (it was 5 PM and Medan was hot). But the knob which switches from below and up to shower hose, was suddenly pulled off and high pressure hot water hosed out hitting the glass mirror, luckily missed my body. I was in hurry, so I decide to take a bath from the below hose instead.
I reported to the hotel and said that I will be leaving in one hour and I needed them to replace the knob right away. A repair guy showed up just when I was ready to leave my room. He asked me permission to fix it while I was gone. Due to limited option that I had, I agreed to his proposal.
When I got back to my room around 9 PM I founded that they I had already fixed the problem.
But that evening I would like to relax on the bath tub instead. I released the water to the tub while I was getting ready. At the time I twist the knob to replace water direction to the shower hose, it turned out that it has already loosen up and didn't work. I was so tired to wait for another maintenance guy, so I decided to live without it.
No single phone to me in my room or my cell phone, apologizing or at least ask how was the shower knob that they just fixed. Since I stayed only 1 night, I leave the problem on the tub and only shared it to the hotel staff when I checked out. As you might guess, no sympathy what so ever and I only get a simple sorry when I checked out. And even until I write this, I didn't get any single call.
I know it was just a bad luck. Well, at least you know that the plumbing system in this hotel is terrible and I really think that the staff of this hotel should get more training on quality service excellence (QSE)! If it is not because of the excellence breakfast (as always) in this hotel, I would rate my visit this time as terrible.
Room Tip: Choose the one that doesn't have plumbing problems.
