It was Friday, and my session start after the Jumah Prayer. But it was right on the noon break, that one third of the lighting and electricity in the ball room was completely shut off to the point that even the hotel staff told me that they had never experienced anything like it before. They could not fix it and we had to move to other part of parted ball room. The staffs work hand by hand to set up a new setting and I thank them very much for that. They could make the room ready just right before my session begun.
The audio system of the hands free wireless mic was excellent, but too bad, the other audio channel for my laptop was not that good since they used the wireless as well. They should had installed the fixed line to the mixer to get the best possible sound coming out from the laptop. But since this is the replacement room, they just had not had time to install it.
Another thing added to my high standard surprise was the interior of the ball room. It looked so old and gloomy, that I really think they all need to refurbished and refurnished to get back to what the 5-star hotel standard Hyatt Regency Hotel Bandung used to have.
The food for the lunch and coffee break, however, had not lost their touch. It still felt like 5-star hotel taste. Though I encountered one thing funny in the label for the menu name in Taruma Coffee at lunch time. They wrote the name for chicken mushroom soup using 'fungus' word and written: "Chicken Soup with Fungus". I told one of the waiter that the world fungus is not for the name of the food, and she took it off right away from the label tag under the pot. IMHO, they should have better English literate staff handling the English sign and labels for the hotel business.
