Bandung Railways Station, Indonesia Overall Rating: AVERAGE Reviewed September 21, 2015 Visited September 2015 I like the new setting of how things done in the station; the boarding, the cleanliness, and it's surely better compare to 10 years ago. But as Mr. Jonan leaves the company and become the minister of transportation, in my humble opinion the overall condition slowly back to usual. I'm afraid it will end up like it used to be. So I strongly suggest for the PT. KAI management to keep up the good work to what Mr. Jonan always wants it to be.

Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed March 28, 2016 Visited July 2015 It is the mecca of water sports if you visit Phuket. If you look for calm and romantic beach go to Panwa beach instead. But if you are looking for adrenaline activities and do water sports you come to the right place. You can play many kinds of water sports in this beach while enjoying the sun warm you up. Don't forget your sun screen since you could easily get burnt by the hot Thailand sun.
Kamala Beach, Phuket, Thailand Overall Rating: AVERAGE Reviewed March 28, 2016 Visited July 2015 I rent a car traveling to several places in Phuket Island, and one of them was Kamala Beach. This beach was destroyed by Tsunami at the end of 2006. It was already almost 10 years, but you still can see in some spots around the area what tsunami could do to the beautiful beach. It is not as good as Panwa and Phatong beach, but it was OK. Nature somewhat shaped new lines after the tsunami to make Kamala beach is still one of the place you should go while you are in Phuket.
Phuket Big Buddha, Thailand Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed March 28, 2016 Visited July 2015 It was under construction when I and my family went there, so it was a bit messy. But I think they have finish the work by now. It is located in the top of the hill where you can see the beautiful beach from uphill, just like the pictures in postcards. It is actually a temple, but though you are not Buddhist, you most welcome to visit here, taking pictures, and enjoying the view. Just remember to always be nice and respect those who come here to pray.
Phuket Aquarium, Thailand Overall Rating: AVERAGE Reviewed March 28, 2016 Visited July 2015 I think it is nice of Thai government to set an aquarium in the farthest-end of Phuket Island, because it just sum up to what already interesting island to visit. This aquarium has collection mostly the sea animals and creatures. My children enjoyed it very much, especially when they were on the travellator under the tunnel like alley where the giant aquarium with sting ray and sharks were above them. Though it is much smaller than what we used to visit in Jakarta, Indonesia, still it is nice to enjoy the educational attraction inside the air conditioned room, since it was 31 degree Celsius outside.
In one side of this aquarium they put the fact, figures, and pictures telling about Tsunami when it hit the area the end of 2006, killing hundreds of thousands of people in Thailand, Indonesia and neighboring area. If you visit Phuket, don't miss this aquarium. It's cheap, it's nice, and it's entertaining. Braga Street, Bandung, Indonesia Overall Rating: AVERAGE Reviewed October 25, 2015 Visited October 2015 It is one of the site in Bandung city which would take you back in time 3 centuries ago. If it is not because of too many cars passing by, it would probably give you the reality sense that you are back on 1700's. But it is OK, ‘coz you gotta keep up with time right? This particular street is the place where you can find various place to hang up while having something to eat. It is the place that you must visit if you are visiting Bandung. You haven't been to Bandung if you haven't been to Jalan Braga.
Gambir Train Station, Jakarta, Indonesia Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed October 22, 2015 Visited September 2015 Compare to several years ago, Gambir Train Station has changed a lot. First, only passenger with tickets are allowed to go inside the platform. Second, no smoking allowed in all station area. And third, it's easy to find something to eat since many restaurant and cafe in the area are available now.
But, since it is in Jakarta, where the climate is hot and humid, somehow make you feel little bit exhausted. If only they put AC on every place in the station, it would have been felt like in Munich Train Station :) Oh one more thing... PT. Kereta Api Indonesia should somehow find a better way in boarding the passengers on to the train in order not to get too crowded on the platform. Alam Wisata Cimahi (AWC), Indonesia Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed October 22, 2015 Visited May 2015 It's the surrounding of the restaurant that you want to enjoy more than the food. The food is actually just average Sundanese style meal. But since you're having it in the place to spoil your senses of the man-made nature setting, it just added the value to the meal.
You can enjoy the outdoor activities as well like flying fox, ATV ride, horse riding, even swimming if you want to get chiller after hot and spicy meal. (Except for the swimming pool, everything else is not free). Pandiga Educreation Sport, Cimahi, Indonesia Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed October 19, 2015 Visited September 2015 The main attraction in Pandiga is its three outdoor swimming pools. One is for baby, one is for young children, and the main pool is for older children and adult. I come to Pandiga for routine sport since I love swimming, and it is not far from my home. But this September visit was with my family.
On weekend, they turn on the heater, so the water is warm. The warmest pool is the baby pool, follow with young children pool and the main pool (which is still rather cold). But it is OK if you are planning to do your workout by swimming. This main pool has enough length for you to do just that. The most interesting of this facility is that it has several membrane roof on every pool to the point that you are protected from direct sun rays. And they build it with good architecture design. When you feel a bit hungry after swimming, you can taste the menu, which is quite good actually though I can't say that they have the best restaurant. The minus thing of this facility is the shower room. In the area like Cimahi, where temperature is mostly nice and chill, the swimming facility like this should has the hot water shower, but they didn't. Not to mention the knob of the shower are all broken to the point that it is hard for you to turn on or off the shower. I hope they fix it very soon and make some improvements. Sometime people come here to have the garden and pool party for birthday celebration or some reunion, but I always come here for swimming. Batu Karas Beach, Pangandaran, Indonesia Overall Rating: GOOD Reviewed October 15, 2015 Visited May 2015 Since it is located almost 20 kilometer from Pangandaran Town, I consider this is the place as hide away vacation for you. The beach is awesome, with not very high wave and shallow beach up to 100 meter to the open sea, makes very comfortable to bring your young children along.
If you want to learn how to surf, this is the place for you because you can learn with not that high wave and cheap tips for the mentor and to hire the surf board. Or you just want to play in the sand. Too bad it is not white sand beach, but consider black sand beach instead. But hey... who cares since it’s the wave and the sun that we are looking for. |
